I have found around a dozen Gennetts that have two issues using the same
issue number. I think in most cases it's a matter of the right hand not
knowing what the left hand is doing. Somebody at the factory goofed.
The Criterion sides were recorded in NYC on June 7, 1921 and the Lanin
sides were recorded in NYC on Sept. 9, 1921.
Then there's the Ge 9000 series - both of them. There's the regular US
9000 series and there's also the UK 9000 series, which was devoted to
artists from the UK. Discographers have a tendency to get them mixed up.
