General Television was the parent of experimental station W1XAV, which went on the air in 1930 and off in 1934. The corporation itself was dissolvedJanuary 1, 1935, which presents a bit of a conundrum as both Ellington-Tizol's "Caravan" and Hal Mooney's "Swamp Fire" are 1936 compositions. PerhapsGTV Corp. was still around in some form, recording audio for personal records like this one, afterward for a time.
