[78-L] Now is "Joe Haymes" !

His Columbia record of The Old Man of the Mountain is one of my faves.

Uncle Joe's Music Store b/w I Cover the Waterfront is another great one, 
also on Columbia.

His 1936 record of River Man is a super example of a powerful swing  at a 
medium tempo.

An original arranger,  a very distinctive band sound,  always...and plenty 
of really great sidemen.
