In the recent biography of Ahmet Ertegun, The Last Sultan, there is a
mention of his going to Houston and finding bootleg copies of Drinking Wine
Spo-Dee-O-Dee and saying that they came from a source in Paris, Texas.

My question is how to spot a bootleg 78?    Dead wax?  Label?
