Hi Don,
The Freddie Hall who recorded in the fifties was not Fred "Sugar" Hall. The 50's guy was a former vaudevillian, who had an early tv program in Boston, and had a long residency at the Gaiety Show Bar. I have one of his 50's budget label lp's somewhere.

Is this the same Freddie Hall that recorded on Coral in the '50s?  I've read somewhere that some of the 'Twenties recreations on dime-store LPs in the late '50s were done by Fred Hall.  Wackypedia says Fred (Sugar) Hall's career ended in the '30s.  Is this correct?
Anyone have a more complete bio on him?
