Anybody know anything about a male quartet called "Bel-Cantos" (no article
preceding the name) who recorded two sides in Dallas on February 8, 1932, in
between dozens of country and blues records made on the same field trip? Fred
Shelton, T. K. Johnston, tenors; Marcel Jones, baritone; Martin Thomas, bass.
George Perfect, piano (per Victor Master Book). The sides are "Rigoletto
Quartette (Travesty)" (comp. M. T. Bohannon) and "Get Away Jordan". Victor
22952. Doesn't sound like a black group.
