1977 was a very bad year for recording artists. Not only did we lose Elvis Presley, but we lost Leopold Stokowski, Bing Crosby, Guy Lombardo, E. Power Biggs, Mantovani, Maria Callas, Errol Garner, etc. This in the year we were celebrating the centenial of recordings. db
