As I sorta predicted that it would be, tonight's PBS History Detectives report and "research" on a Ku Klux Klan 78 record was a disappointment.

It was overwhelmingly a history of the resurrected Klan of the 1920s.

The coverage of Richmond IN's Gennett Records was superficial and I was amazed that the "historian" on his visit to the Starr Gennett site didn't even refer to the wonderful Walkway Of Stars immediately outside the old factory building he was standing in!

Louis Armstrong's Gennett recording was fortunately mentioned., but nowhere was there any reference to the huge variety of Gennett music, especially early country.

And forget about Richmond's Starr-Gennett Foundation or the Gennett Museum.

Pathetic.
