The Swedish Cupol label was founded in the spring of 1947. So they 
choose 1947 as the number for their first issue. A list of Cupol 
records can be found here:

There are several number series:

1000-series, advertising records
1900-series, first main series
4000-series, second main series
6000-series, 12 inch series
7000-series, third main series
9000-series, jazz series

There were also Norwegian and Finnish Cupol Records and some 
recordings were issued on Dansih Telefunken.
