One of Berlinder's earliest disc experiments is on a metal disc that is
nearly square. I bought a square record a couple of months ago. It was
in the front of a bin and I thought it was the cover till I picked it
up.

Adobe Illustrator calls it a Rounded Rectangle (Rounded Square).

What's the geometric name for something that is rounded and square at
the same
time? 4 flat sides and 4 rounded corners..it's an 11" record that
someone
trimmed to fit a 10" sleeve. (Don't worry, it was a plastic material.
Although
a CBC show once needed a square record as a prop, and Archives
apparently tried
to cut an old glass lacquer to proper specs..)
