Ken Griffin was not the first to record unforgettable (try as you might) sides on the Hammond. Vernon Geyer appeared on Bluebird in the thirties with steely drawbar settings that could set your teeth on edge after a few playinga of such aides as St. Louis Blues and Study in Brown.
