An Edison DD player, being vertical read and having a gear driven arm 
cursor, would be useless playing any other record type.

Conversely, my Brunswick has a convertible pickup. The read head rotates 
and has a secondary stylus in place. Probably better for vertical Pathes 
(and others) as well.
