Amazed?
Jazz and western popular music was played by indigenous orchestras all
over the world by the 1920's: India, Phillippines, Indonesia, China,
Japan, Soviet Union, Turkey...even Canada!
Reminds me, once again, of the old joke about the typical British
weather report: "Fog over the Channell - Europe isolated".
