Perhaps I missed it/them but it seems that no mention has been made of
Torme's wonderful "California Suite" which certainly has much about L.A. and
in particular the mini-masterpiece "Poor Little Extra Girl." I was
reasonably certain that I could recall a 78 copy of the suite from my late
40s high school days in a fellow musician's basement hangout. A frustrating
Google search finally confirmed it,
