[78-L] Lamination question

Columbia's laminated pressing of the '40's didn't have nicely finished edges like the -D series so edges of discs on upright shelves got pulverized. I doubt that anything as pure as graphite would have been added unless maybe a pencil or two by accident.

Did we ever determine whether there was graphite in Columbia laminated pressings, particularly in the 40s?
