If I had to choose between a Beatles-on-Parlophone or this disc... I'd choose THIS one. Nothing wrong with the Beatles (shush) but this song was one of the best reggae songs eve (my opinion). This song (again opinion) was probably one of the first reggae songs to truly 'break out' and bring worldwide attention to the exploding Jamaican music scene. If it weren't for Desmond Dekker (and the production efforts of Leslie Kong), Bob Marley (and the rest of the reggae movement) may well have only been a passing fancy...
If I had a first-born male offspring, which I don't, ...... anyway, this would probably go on my Dream Find list for 78s.
