Those aren't 31000 or 54000, but 31-0000 and 54-0000. 31-00xx is a
short-lived RCA Victor Bluebird Series 78 series, and 54-00xx and
43-00xx (??) are the 45-rpm editions. Interesting to note that
31-0013's 45 issue is in the regular pop 54- series while 31-0014 is
bumped to a 43-xxxx series (which I'm not familiar with). Or is that
just a typo? (seems more likely) These records are from late 1949 or
early 1950. The Bluebird Series was revived in the Fall of 1949 (with
Ralph Flanagan and his Orchestra leading the way on 30-0001/2) but
was re-killed by the Spring of 1950. I'd be interested in label scans
of 31-0013 and -0014.

31000 (five digits) series are single-faced 12-inch 78s. I'm not sure
about 54000s.

Take care,

Joe
