I think most films are about 30 minutes too long, and should have been
shortened at the script stage. 70 minutes should be plenty to tell a
story - "Bambi" is 72 mins and "Dumbo" is 64: plenty happens in both.

There are of course a few long films that are masterpieces and fully
justify their length, but they art the exceptions.
