[78-L] American Record Corp. staff photo

I have much respect for the experts in this forum, but sometimes the
stuffiness and self-centred snobbery here actually makes me angry.
The phonograph is CLIP-ART folks, from a Microsoft Publisher library. It is
used to identify the genre of the item for sale. Even if it were a Victrola
it would still be inaccurate since the listing is a PHOTOGRAPH, not a
record. However the obviously very busy vendor was SMART enough to identify
a non-record item as of being of interest to record collectors and
researchers. He used what was at hand.. The benefit, Taylor, is that he
included an at-a-glance Topic logo.

Some of the other items have Clipart and design borders also...a scroll of
kids and angels for the Dionne listings, drills and hammers for tools, a
vintage car for a workshop manual.. Jeesh...

"Historically Accurate" one. Of course the item speaks for itself, and
really did not need the cheap >little 60's suitcase phono as an enhancement.
But if you are going to include something with it, why not make if from the
same era in question, including some nice >representative labels that were
issued by ARC during the same time period ? It certainly would have made for
a better presentation.
