[78-L] Low freq. cut for acoustic recordings

I am, at present, enjoying many old classical/opera recordings on 12" 78s.
 I especially love using google to read the history on the artists as I am
listening, and also tweaking the sound to get the best sound possible from
these old records.

The system I am using to listen to these old recordings includes a steep
low cut filter at 75 Hz.  Old acoustic recordings sound much clearer when I
use it, but I am wondering if there is any music lower than that, in old
acoustic recordings, that I am losing along with the noise?
