I think you've got it,  Harold...the Novak record sounds just like the "Jack 
Hart" on Harmony.   Thanks for the help.

BTW I'd not heard the Novak version of that tune...excellent stuff.  "Old 
Rust" says that it was only issued on Guardsman...is it (I hope) on any 
other labels?

This is one of my all-time favorite records. "Jack Hart" with Sam Lanin on
Harmony doing You Were Meant For Me.

I have always been sure that "Jack Hart" is a pseudonym...finally it occured
to me the other day that it sounds like Frank Munn. The Columbia recording
"sound" makes his voice more intimate and warm that it sounds on Victors and
Brunswicks of the era.
