[78-L] The Columbia Record Shop 78 Albums ?

Given the program number and air-date fields on the 3rd picture, might these have contained records to be used in a local-origination type of radio program? Columbia marketing/promotion sends out a group of records and a script for a local air personality to read (or at least use as a guide for between-record patter)?

...just some random thoughts here...

Brad

Subject: [78-L] The Columbia Record Shop 78 Albums ?

I recently found some 78 storage albums printed with “The Columbia Record Shop” in gold lettering on the spine. Nothing comes up at all about these or what this refers to on a web search. There are program numbers and dates on the front. What was the Columbia Record Shop ?
