Leah and I spent the evening at the WFMU Record Fair. We couldn't
believe how many overpriced LPs were there. She finally found a box of
dollar sheet music -- 15 for $10 -- and then we noticed he also had a
bunch of boxes of dollar LPs. That's more like it. I found maybe four
dealers that also had 78s. Two of them, with their 78s under the table,
didn't really know what was valuable if it wasn't rock or R&B. At one I
got Bing Crosby's first solo album, "Cowboy Songs" of all things.
Another sold single 78s OR a whole album for $1, and I got the Decca
Gems of Jazz, several other jazz albums, and "Strictly GI: Soldier Songs
and Parodies" on Asch with a David Stone Martin cover. A buck for a $25
album.

Leah is working tomorrow and we are both busy on Sunday. I am tempted to
go again tomorrow but the weather is going to be HORRIBLE. So maybe the
78 fans like Dave Weiner won;'t have my competition. There was one guy
in a corner with $3 rock albums, and there was some good stuff in it.
But GAD, most of the dealers asking hugely large prices on stuff! And
most of it is not any better than what the $3 guy has!
