Alan Mowbray is even more alive in this 1946 Sherlock Holmes film, as 
one of the starring actors. (Most of the characters, though, are not 
alive at the end of the film...)

Mowbray is first seen after about ten minutes.
Some of the music was written by Charles Previn, great uncle of 
conductor Andre Previn. Some by Ralph Freed (of Hawaiian War Chant, "How 
About You" etc. fame).
