While on the subject of La Merm and her contemporaries, if you ever see the
TAKE A CHANCE movie, Lillian Roth copies Ethel's rendition of "Eadie Was a
Lady" perfectly - she musta listened to the record many times.  Also, one of
the chorus ladies who gets a solo line is a very young Vivian Vance.
