[78-L] Colortone LP's - Apollo connection ???

The possibility emerges that there are more APOLLO recordings which
were issued by WALDORF related labels.

So far, DEAN MARTIN, DINAH WASHINGTON, and GORDON MacRAE Apollo sides have appeared on
18 top hits; Colortone; Audition; and now another label POPULAR.

Any further info on POPULAR label ???????

I see that a DINAH WASHINGTON selection issued by DELMARK (LP and CD) from Apollo masters
is titled ALL OR NOTHING BLUES. Perhaps same as the side on BR-28.

IF someone has the DELMARK album, IS there any information in their liner notes ???????

Perhaps Tyrone can add these to the 78discography.

Does anyone know the folks at DELMARK well enough to inquire of them what the may know of
the Apollo-Waldorf connection, and the current status of Apollo (i.e. who supposedly owns it, or is it orphan???).

Thanks!
Best wishes, Thomas.

Methinks Dino's "Oh Marie" (Hey Shloimy) is the only Martin track on that disc.
I've had the Apollo on a Canadian pressing..probably on Monogram, which issued
some Apollos up here.
