Remembering the Scranton Sirens
Tracing the 10-year history (1918-28) of the Scranton Sirens, a jazz dance band 
formed in Scranton
by violinist Billy Lustig that gained national popularity during the Jazz Age, 
and gave
Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey and Russ Morgan their starts (Jack Teagarden also played 
with the Sirens).
The hour profiles Morgan, the Dorseys and other notable Sirens, recalls 
Scranton venues where
the band performed, and re-creates Sirens tunes, performed by Vince Giordano 
and the Nighthawks.
