That's very possible. The Capitol sleeve though adds an air of 
authenticity to it though as to many people one company's sleeve is 
the same as another and could lead someone to say 'this was stashed 
away in someone's attic for years'.

A comment was made about bootlegging/ faking/ counterfeiting shellac, 
and the relative im-possibility of doing so. A counterfeit/ fake 
wouldn't have to be shellac to pass muster as many late 78s, such as 
Pye,  in the UK were vinyl. Not sure about RCA though, but still, 
someone could get away with fooling the public. The proof wuold be on 
examination for dead-wax stampings and groove pitch
