Below is an email from JAZZ PROMO SERVICES, link to NY Times article about
Black Swan/Pace.

Roland Hayes issued his own records (Columbia Personal Record) in the circa
1916-1918 period - for a while
partnered with GEORGE W BROOME.

I believe Broome also had a label - can't find info about it at the moment -
so it might have been earlier, later or
during the same period.
Would this constitute a "Record Company", which would pre-date Pace???
