HELEN GONE (FoxTrot)?Vic Meyers and His Orchestra SPRINGTIME RAG?Same-Brunswick No. 2630
Vic Meyers Is another new Brunswick disc artist. In "Helen Gone" (Rose-Johnson-Owens) he displays his "low down" jazz proclivities with a "mean" trumpet, a "wicked" clarinet and some generally sizzling jazz Interludes. The "Springtime Rag" (Pratt) Is that "vulgar" It does not even apologize to the great Mendelssohn for the "adaptation" but goes Into high on the "low down" from the start.
