This is an amazing document - a half-hour full color promotional film for Capitol Records, showing street scenes of Hollywood, record store displays, and vintage Mel Blanc. Also features cameos by Capitol Records' prexy Alan Livingston, A&R men Lee Gillette and Ken Nelson, Jimmy Wakely in the recording studio, Les Paul & Mary Ford, Yogi Yorgesson, Dean Martin how records are made with magnetic tape. They even identify the NINE ingredients used to make up the Capitol Records "biscuit." And if that's not enough, Blanc and his chubby record buying friend (anyone know who he is?) then fly to Scranton, PA to see the Capitol pressing plant. Lots of fun. This was just uploaded on YouTube a few days ago.
