According to BMI, Frankie Brown is credited with sole authorship of "Born to Lose" and "No Letter Today." The publishing is represented by Peermusic. "Frankie Brown," however, was a pseudonym used by Ted Daffan because (ostensibly) he wrote so many songs (there are 184 listed on BMI's website) that Columbia A&R man Art Satherley asked him to create a new name so it wouldn't look like so many Daffan songs were being used. I know nothing about claims by other "Frank Browns" (of which there are likely many), but believe this person's claims are spurious. It seems highly unlikely that someone from Canada would write two monster hit songs for a Texas artist and then not write anything else ever again. C'mon folks.
