I have been subscribing to 78L for about a month now and have been totally blown away with the knowledge most of you have.  Now I'm going to hit you up with three unrelated questions, so feel free to answer one, all or none. I promise it won't hurt my feelings. (LOL).

               1. A vocal group calling themselves "The Hollywood Hillbillies" released at least 2 recordings for RCA c.1947. The first was RCA Victor 20-2336 with "Tim-ta-shun" and "Chattanooga Choo Choo". Now here's where it gets weird. RCA re-releases "Chattanooga Choo Choo" b/w "Friendship" a re-release of the Pied Pipers (Dorsey Family-Mountain Branch) Bluebird from 1940 on 20-2355., just 19 numbers later. Was the original pulled for some reason or were both available? And last, who were the Hollywood Hillbillies. I have been found nothing on the web. My theory is they were perhaps some Hollywood celebs of some sort, put together by Victor to capitalize on Red Ingles' Tim-ta-shun on Capitol with Jo Stafford as 'Cinderella G. Stump'. Any info will be welcomed.

               2. I recently acquired one of those "finds of a lifetime" at a thrift store. A very clean E+ copy of Victor Special Record 'In My Merry Oldsmobile" by Jean Goldkette. Fox trot one side, waltz the other. It is super clean, no scratches or graying, no stickers on labels. It's only fault is a slight warp which does not effect play at even the lightest tone arm settings. My questions is (and this may be totally out of line for this group and if it is I apologize and you can feel free to tell me where to stick it!) has anyone seen any of these lately for sale and how much did it go for?  Does anyone know how many were pressed and how many might still be around. Lastly, yes I do plan to sell it. I just haven't decided whether to try set sale or auction and where to offer it. Any suggestions?

              3.  I have noticed that most of the people in this group are either up north, out west or mid country. My last questions is, does anyone live in Florida, particularly west central Florida. I live in New Port Richey, Fl. and would loved to make some collector friends in my area. Also, if you plan visits to this area would love to hear from you. My e-mail address is jbfinsup at yahoo.com if you would like to contact me.

I know this was a long one and for those who have read to the end, I appreciate it. I really enjoy all the e-mails and read them all. Hope to become a member in good standing.
