Regarding cassettes:what about the old type 3 ferrochrome tapes?I owned a few
about thirty years ago

courtesy of the local Radio Shack dealer here in North Bend,Oregon.I had used
some chrome tapes
but I remember little of the sound quality of them.Ferrochrome wasn't around all
that long as I recall.My
first cassette recorders didn't have the type IV function. My earliest recorder
was an old,piano keyed

Hitachi from the '70s a friend gave me.
