You MAY have to doink around with different stylus sizes/shapes... I have a bunch of home recordings that are that way... what kind of home-recording discs are they, I'm sure someone on here will have the info for you on how to get the most out of them...

...and the vid DOES play for me, just takes forever to load :/

Just saw the video - really cool. I have a sonic sound forge restoration system on my computer. Get pretty good results with commercial stuff from 78's, but still haven't been able to restore my mother and aunt singing and playing piano on small BADLY degraded home recording discs from WWII to my satisfaction. Oh well, I'll keep trying different stuff and maybe get it to work. - Jimmyb
