Today, somewhere in Utah, folks are smiling and learning there are ways to
preserve old audio recordings. Received this from Mike Wizland, who teaches
audio restoration. He sent me the following. I nice video for geezers with
grooves. df
I had a student in my Audio Restoration class restore her great
grandmother's recorded voice from an old 78 (just in time to play it at her
funeral). I thought it was such a cool story, I passed it on to Jim
McCulloch, who passed it on to the herald, and they swarmed on us today with
video and still cams, and a nice interviewer. They Really dug the whole
operation. So we'll be somewhere in the paper this morning, and on their
website. Check it out and let me know if we look good!
The website is http://www.heraldextra.com/ we'll be on the locals news
video section by morning!
