Interesting comments! Peter Burges and Ross Laird are no longer NFSA staff
plus much fewer staff these days.

This is not the correct address. It takes us to a commercial firm which
makes acoustical barriers. The Australian National Film and Sound
Archives has not used the STUPID name of ScreenSound for about ten
years. The real URL for this sleeve exhibit is
http://nfsa.gov.au/collection/national-collection/sound/art-early-record-sle
eve/

This is a fairly tiny exhibit page with some inaccurate information.
The presentation about sleeves I was going to give at ARSC (but had to
postpone due to health problems) was going to be MUCH bigger and more
well documented. Maybe next year (although NYC ARSC has already seen a
preview). They have some of their countries mixed up with an American
sleeve in their Australian section and an European sleeve in the
American section.

I do remember that in 1992 when I was at the NFSA in Canberra for IASA
they had a GREAT exhibit of at least 100 of the Australian issues of the
illustrated sleeves for the Capitol childrens records. I videotaped the
exhibit, and am trying to dig it up for Jack Myrtle and Walt Mitchell
who are completing a Capitol childrens discography, but I'll lead them
to the archive directly which might be able to give them the list of
issue numbers they need. But looking at this page on line makes it seem
like the current staff might not know as much as the ones who were there
20 years ago.
