Thanks for the information.The only Formby I knew of is in the furniture 
refinishing business.I believe his
name was Elmer Formby.I could be wrong.

WERE, in fact! Formby senior was a British comedian of the WWI'era...
he was essentially unknown outside the UK (I own a few British records
of his.).George Formby the younger was a popular recording artist and
film performer of the thirties and forties (into the fifties?) who was very
well-known and popular in Canada (but NOT in the US?).
