[78-L] WKRC Western swing festival on now!

Listened to the interview again as it was broadcast and I retract my statement about the interviewer. He did a pretty good job. He didn't interrupt, he kept his comments relevant, and they did virtually no editing. It went well, I think.

And I'm gratified to hear that I didn't use "you know" and "like" at all.

He had prepared a list of questions, but, like most interviewers, didn't engage me in conversation about the subject; he simply moved from one question to the next. I was able to answer them all with some detail but nothing that I said prompted any kind of meaningful follow-up questions. One comment that irked me a little was when he made the statement that Milton Brown wasn't a musician. Just because you don't play an instrument doesn't mean you're not a musician. Milton could read and write music and he sang with the fluidity of a musician, changing melodies and improvising. That's a musician to me.

Her comments are very basic. She just mispronounced Harry Choates' name (it should be "Shoats," not "Choates"). I suppose you have to understand that these are probably students that are on the air, but they should have a little better grasp of their material.
