I have a couple of 7" classical promos labelled "Test Pressing" from the early
50s. Oddly, one side is common to both discs.
Excerpt SYMPHONIC DANCES (Rachmaninoff)..Leinsdorf/Rochester Philharmonic
ZLP 13317, from the complete recording ML 4621
"Inside Masterworks" MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Mendelssohn)..Szell/Cleveland,
made from unedited tape recordings of an actual session
ZLP 9506, complete work on ML 4498
Excerpt SYMPHONY #6 "PATHETIQUE" (Tchaikovsky)..Ormandy/Philadelphia
ZLP M13013, from the complete recording ML 4544
b/w the same Midsummer Night's Dream excerpt
The above are white label, "not for sale". The following is blue label, also
not for sale.
MASTERWORKS AUDITION GUILD RECORD
Brahms HUNGARIAN DANCE #1..Walter, NY Philharmonic (ZLP 9177, from AAL-1)
Stravinsky PETROUCHKA Excerpt from Part III..Mitropoulos, NY Philharmonic (ZLP
9176, from ML 4438)
