[78-L] RCA dealers' phono?

Ok then the 6SQ7's drove the 6K6GT's but what was the 6J5 used for? Or do I have 
it completely wrong? Perhaps the 6J5 drove the 6K6GT's as a preamp & the 6SQ7's 
were for the bass & treble circuit?

6SQ7s would not be output tubes; they were small-signal high gain triodes
with diodes (a precursor to such as the 6AV6) intended for AVC control in
radio circuits.  The 6K6GTs (pentodes) would be outputs.
