When I was a kid, I was addicted to "Dragnet" which (then) was on the radio.  I 
had a street map of Los Angeles in front of me, so I could follow Friday, etc. 
as they sped down the various streets and highways of that far-away city.  I was 
in the NYC area at the time.

I just bought a box set which has about a dozen episodes of the TV version of 
Dragnet.  It doesn't seem to include the famous Dragnet theme at the beginning 
of the episodes, maybe there was a copyright issue.
