The *real* peacock, the one designed by John J. Graham, went
away in 1975. But after the "Nebraska N" fiasco, they brought
back a much simpler version. Maybe it will come back again,
but if they simplify it any more, it won't be recognizable
as a bird. There's a great web page on the history of the

I've got a beautiful 16mm IB Technicolor print of the
original "Laramie Peacock". I keep it in my safe
deposit box!
