The only time I heard Jefferson solo was on a Cab Calloway recording of
"Willow
Weep for Me"
which was issued on French Columbia(CBS,orange label).What I have of him
with
Fletcher Hen-
erson contains no solos.He played nice alto.

I will listen to it. Hilton Jefferson was one of the finest, but least
known, altoist of the period.
An excelent soloist when given the chance. In my opinion one of the top
saxophone players of the time.
