Well, I play 78s on my show (Salt Creek, WVBR-FM Ithaca) sometimes, sort of: I digitize them first. The station's turntable has a 78 speed but I would be required to bring my own cartridge and swap it out. I'd rather digitize it (and can clean up the sound a little that way too). I was going to play a Peanut Faircloth 78 last Sunday, but couldn't lay hands on it in time.
Maybe one of these days I will actually lug a box o' shellac to the studio and spin them for a while.
