It looks like the chain is in trouble. Their stock fell by 22% Friday 
after they postponed payments to publishers and warned the markets 
that they are running out of cash. They posted a loss of $74.4 
million for the quarter ending in October.

There have been rumors for several months that Borders wants to buy 
Barnes and Noble, which is also in trouble. I don't see how that's 
possible under current conditions.
