Sadly I forward the following message, received from Geoff Wheeler  
this afternoon.

> Jack Towers passed away this morning at 5:10 A.M. He had been ill  
> with Parkinson’s Disease and was in a hospice in Montgomery County,  
> Maryland at the time of his death. He had recently turned 96 on  
> November 16. He and his wife Rhoda were married for more than 70  
> years.
