[78-L] 78-L Digest, Vol 27, Issue 34 -Rosie & Gene

Let's put this one to bed!

I was the lead discographer for the Clooney Bear Family box (and Doris Day,
Johnnie Ray, Dean Martin and Pat Boone).

The details I gave came from what is printed in the book that
accompanies the first box set and these, in turn, were compiled DIRECTLY
from the
AFM session sheets and Columbia's daily log of recordings. Unfortunately,
having moved twice since I compiled these sets I no longer have the actual
papers to hand.

However, anyone who has bought a box set from Bear Family will know how
much a stickler for accuracy Richard Weize is and this set and the others
were no exception!

Cary: I'm sure it's Rhino's error regarding the date - they didn't record it
twice!
David: The Rosemary Clooney discography that you refer to was compiled,
initially, from the Bear Family Boxes!
Mike: You are correct! MJV.149 is the 78rpm issue; if it was issued on 45rpm
it is MJV 4-149

ENOUGH ALREADY!
