Since both of the 'Sonora' pressings are Santa novelties one would guess Victor wanted to press large quantities in a short time for the holiday season. It seems likely that a number of outside sources would have been tapped...but Sonora? No one but Oberstein would have perpetrated that.

I think I just found one of those Sonora Victor pressings..20-2482, Sammy Kaye, "Santa Claus for President" b/w "Hold in Hand". Awful looking shellac, disc numbers in very tiny font in the land, and "Song Hits Magazine Record of the Month" on the label..could this mean a special press run?dl_______________________________________________78-L mailing list78-L at klickitat.78online.comhttp://klickitat.78online.com/mailman/listinfo/78-l
