preserved and in what format...! I was a "cable guy" from early 1977
onward, and recall my first encounters with home VCR's (fortunately
the customer had his manual handy...neither one of us had any idea
how to hook the dommed thing up...?!)
The point is that these early TV shows (to the extent they still exist?!)
are probably VERY important to the countless "baby boomers" who
grew up in front of the family TV...! I wouldn't be at all surprised to
encounter (probably on DVD?) present-day reissues of vintage TV
(as opposed to the many "complete seasons" of modern-day shows?!).
So...when did "VCR's" first appear for home use...and how much of
this home-recorded video has been saved?@
